Welcome Conference Newcomers!
We have a large contingent of Librarians and Library School students who are attending their first WLMA conference. Yay and Benvenuto!
After the Keynote speaker, First Time attendees please stop by the Exhibit hall for a warm welcome from enthusiastic WLMA members. You will get introductions, instructions
and your first
card in our Progressive Poker Walk. This scavenger game will keep you
interacting with your colleagues throughout the day. After the last
session ends at 4:30, head up to the Presidential Suite, Suite 171, to
relax and swap ideas after a full
day at conference. We’ll host a gathering there from 4:45 - 5:45. You’ll get
your last card for your poker hand. At 5:40, best poker hand will be
decided by Leah “ Acey-Duecey” Griffin, and the winner will claim the
prize. Games of chance and connivance aside, the reason we are playing this
game is to meet you and get you to meet and mingle with each other.
This fits in perfectly with our break before the evening banquet with Terri Grief, incoming AASL President.
